In a remarkable site overlooking the valley open to the Cantal mountains, the castle (ISMH) has a dungeon XV, of military origin, among other fief of Robert de Balsac, king's chamberlain, seneschal of Gascony and the Agen . In the seventeenth, the Lignerac, future Dukes of Caylus, build a large main building which houses a remarkable collection of Aubusson tapestries.
Since 1783, the family now maintains the set alive.
