12. Cancellation of the stay
12.1. Cancellation by the tenant.
Any cancellation of your stay must be notified to the owner in writing (mail, email). Any cancellation must be subject to written cancellation confirmation from the owner.
► Cancellation of the stay occurs less than 30 days before arrival at the premises: the rental amount remains with the owner who is entitled to claim the balance of the amount of the stay.
► Cancellation of the stay occurs more than 30 days from the arrival date, the owner undertakes to return the deposit paid at the time of booking provided that he manages to re-let or that the tenant offers a replacement.
► If the tenant does not appear within 24 hours following the arrival date indicated on the contract, this contract becomes void and the owner can dispose of his furnished accommodation. The deposit also remains with the owner who will be entitled to request the balance of the rental.
► If the stay is shortened, for whatever reason, the rental price remains with the owner. No refunds will be made.
We strongly advise all our tenants to take out “stay cancellation” insurance, with our partner GRITCHEN (with Covid19 extension), at the negotiated rate of 4.5% of the bare rental amount:

12.2. Cancellation by the owner before the start of the stay.
It is notified to the tenant by registered letter or email addressed to the tenant. The tenant, without prejudging any recourse for compensation for any damage suffered, is immediately reimbursed for the sums paid.
