50480 SAINTE-MARIE DU MONT
Utah Beach was one of the main beaches of the Normandy landings of June 6, 1944 and further to the west. Located on the northeast coast of the Cotentin Peninsula, it was part of the American landing sector.
Of the five assault beaches of Operation Overlord, the landing at Utah Beach was certainly the least costly in human lives and that the results at the end of day one, closest to the original aims of the Allies.
The place chosen was given the code name of Utah Beach. It stretches from St. Mary of Mount Quinéville up with an assault area about two kilometers up to Varreville.
