In 1845, Rodin and his companion Rose Beuret abandon their homes in the Rue des Grands Augustins and moved to Meudon Val Fleury where they occupy a house of brick and stone style of Louis XIII, whose slope leads to the valley the Seine. Rodin passionately committed to his field and receives friends and famous people. It's a sign that Rodin in Meudon on April 1, 1916, in the presence of Poincaré, the act by donating to the state of his works and his collections. Perfectly preserved, the house-villa Rodin, the great workshop of adjacent (and that includes most of his casts), the garden and the tomb of the artist allows moving a dive in the heart of the private world of one of the greatest sculptors.
