Musée Pierre Cardin

The new Espace Cardin opens November 15, 2006 in an old abandoned garage in Saint-Ouen. Reached the end of his career, the designer wants to create a "museum mode" in tribute to the work of his life. This loft with large volumes and white walls is the best and that is for display mannequins and colored threadlike. A selection of his most original and representative has been developed for different periods of his career. Dresses to the most futuristic finest, all materials, shapes and colors are presented here in a joyful dance static plastic models! This museum offers visitors so much as works of styles. Of Futurist art with geometric and functional dresses designed to fit into a Renault car or a house of Le Corbusier, to kinetic art with robes moving around which we must turn, to a longer period of classic and glamorous , ready-made elegance with draped black silk ... The museum is accompanied by a small theater.
