Housed in the former home of the historian Robert Dubois-Corneau (1876-1951), the Municipal Museum was formed around the collection bequeathed by him in 1951 in the city of Brunoy. Bourgeois scholar, Robert Dubois-Corneau has dedicated his life to the history and Brunoy Valley Yerres. Passionate lover, he accumulated testimony of all kinds: prints, drawings, paintings, sculptures, autographs, books and art objects. The museum collection mainly related to the 18th century and the various owners of the castle of Brunoy at the time: Jean Monmartel of Paris, guard the treasure of Louis XV and Madame de Pompadour godfather of his son, the Marquis de Brunoy fantastic; and the Count of Provence, brother of Louis XVI.
