It was built on the spot where was the home and studio of the artist where it lived and worked from 1906 to 1961. The small office, large scale models of buildings, drawings, including trace the career of this great sculptor known worldwide. Paul Landowski moved to Boulogne, Max Blondat Street in 1905. He stayed there until his death in 1961. House and workshop were then demolished, and on the same site, the present museum was established by the family of the artist, who made donations to the City of Boulogne-Billancourt in 1982.
