It is just 7 scenic miles from the A5 motorway, between Wrexham and Llangollen, which is 6 miles away. Tucked in the valley beyond the town of Chirk, it offers free parking and free WiFi. Due to the semi-remote location, do take a moment or two to read the travel instructions provided and do not rely on satellite navigation for the last few miles.

From Chirk take the B4500 along the Ceiriog Valley, through Pontfadog and as far as Dolywern (4 miles) before turning left for Llwynmawr. The inn is at the end of the village.
