This charming family-run inn has an attractive and tranquil setting in the midst of the rolling Marlborough Downs, with great access to the region’s major road network. The Inn With The Well gets its name from the original well set in the restaurant floor. Bulletproof glass has been used to provide a safe cover for the well, allowing you to stand on top and look down the 30-metre shaft of this impressive original feature. Originally established in 1647, this traditional coaching inn is situated on the Ridgeway path, Europe’s oldest highway. The inn is just off the A346, only 5 minutes from junction 15 of the M4 motorway. Guests can enjoy a range of beers and real cask ales, along with hearty, home-cooked food. All of the comfortable, purpose-built, en suite accommodation is housed in a quiet annex, separate from the main inn.
This upstairs room can accommodate an additional fold-out bed for children under 12 on request at an additional charge. This room is unsuitable for pets.
The double room includes a private bathroom equipped with a bath, a shower and a hairdryer. This double room features a private entrance, a tea and coffee maker, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, as well as chocolate for guests. The unit offers 1 bed.
