In the heart of the Perche Regional Nature Park, in the Orne department, Bellême is situated on a hill overlooking the Perche, a stopover town on the royal road from Paris to Brittany. Bellême has kept its architecture and many monuments dating from the 15th and 17th centuries. Hidden behind a superb retro facade is the Escale. "In the past, it was a small grocery shop, run by my great-grandmother, who, as time went by and customers came, expanded the establishment..." This is how the story of this (almost) ancestral little hotel in Bellême begins! Here, no fuss, the spirit of granny's good old-fashioned cooking reigns over the whole establishment. The chef's cuisine, traditional and tasty, is always served in a cheerful room. The rooms are beautifully appointed.
