Offering free WiFi access and free parking, Hotel Auwirt is 10 km south of Salzburg and 3 km from Hallein and the A10 motorway. The restaurant serves traditional Austrian cuisine and has a beer garden. In the morning a rich breakfast buffet, including whole-grain products, is available. Hotel Auwirt has a children’s playground and a quiet garden with a Kneipp pool and a small stream. A washing machine and dryer are available at a surcharge, A bus stop with direct connections to Salzburg is right outside the Auwirt. The Tauernradweg (bicycle trail) leads directly past the hotel. Many attractions, including Hallein’s salt mines, Berchtesgaden and the Werfen Ice Caves, can be reached in a short time. The Salzburg Card and tickets for concerts and the Sound of Music Tour are available directly at Hotel Auwirt.
