Sleeping 4, Papillon Cottage is a haven of peace and tranquillity, yet easily accessible to all that beautiful Brittany boasts. It is an hours drive from the ferry port of Roscoff.

Arrive, relax and unwind. Set in the heart of the Breton countryside, yet only a 10 minute drive from the bustling lakeside village of Huelgoat, lies Papillon Cottage.

Inside, the kitchen/diner seats 4. It is modern and fully equipped with a new electric oven and gas hob, as well as a range cooker and slow cooker (ideal for putting on while you're out for the day). The lounge is a cosy space that comfortably seats 6. Here there is a satellite TV, with English channels, a DVD player and PS4 for guests use. A wood burring stove completes it's charm. From here the stairs rise to the first floor where there are two traditionally furnished double (one super king) bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Outside there is a little patio with a picnic table, perfect for al fresco dining or an apéritif after a busy day. Venture into the lawned garden and indulge in a quiet sunbathe or keep an eye out for several of the rare butterflies that have been spotted by the owner. The garden is lovely and private but is not fenced so children and dogs must be supervised. Please be aware that there is a well in the garden and although now fenced, children must not be unsupervised.

The surrounding countryside is a nature lovers paradise. Walking and cycling paths are in abundance and at the bottom of the lane lies an old railway line just for this purpose. There is indoor storage for bicycles at the cottage but it is not secure. The property is perfect for your pet too. One small dog is accepted by prior arrangement.

Papillon cottage is ideally placed for both the North and West coasts of Finistere (both can be accessed in under an hour). With an abundance of beautiful and unspoilt beaches you really will be spoilt for choice. Walk or cycle part of the nearby Nantes-Brest canal or venture into the nearby towns of Morlaix or Quimper with their beautiful examples of medieval architecture still intact.
A 10-20% discount on Brittany Ferries is offered to all guests.
Nearby Huelgoat is a beautiful lakeside village steeped in the legend of King Arthur and renowned for its' amazing boulders. They really are something to behold and the forest is a perfect picture at any time of year.
Here you will find all the amenities that you need to include supermarkets, a pharmacy and English speaking Dr and crêperies and restaurants. The beautiful church in the square holds regular English services too. The weekly market every Thursday is a hub of life and worth a visit.

Brittany is easily accessible from the UK via several Ferry Ports and is also served by flights from the UK to 4 French airports.
