Piscina Juegos para niñosThis is an incredibly beautiful French farmhouse and a perfect tranquil retreat. For those with busy lives, you can relax in the quiet, landscaped garden, and then cool off in the glistening pool. The house dating from 1837 has been lovingly restored for holiday rentals, yet without compromise and keeping many exquisite features.
You will sleep comfortably in one of the three bedrooms, under original oak beams surrounded by traditional stone walls. Barbecue and then eat in the expansive outdoor space or explore the choice of local restaurants and bars just a few minutes away.
The front garden is in full sun all the year round, however, the porch means you can read, relax and eat in the shade if you prefer. In the summer, traditional stone walls, quality insulation keeps the interior cool. In winter, under-floor heating and natural wood-burners ensure your total comfort.
The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with shower, toilet, bidet and sink. The second bathroom has a bath and shower, toilet bidet and sink. Both bathrooms have razor sockets.
The rental includes use of all the facilities at the house, with sheets and towels provided for both bathroom and pool use. There is a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen. In the lounge, a DVD player and satellite TV give you access to all the UK and French terrestrial channels, so you won't miss your favourite soap or sporting event.
Each bedroom has a USB charger point so don't worry about forgetting your adaptors.
The pool is shared with one other gite. Each gite has its own garden space and outside equipment.

During the winter, there is electric heating under the floor throughout the ground floor. There are two log burners with heat recovery for additional heating. The cost of electricity is included in the rental. Wood can be supplied at €10 per wheelbarrow load.

"Beautiful countryside stay near Bordeaux"
Beautiful house in the countryside with everything we needed for a very relaxing and peaceful stay. Pat and Yvonne were very welcoming and responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely visit again!

"Fantastic holiday home"
We had a fantastic stay at Pat and Yvonne's house. The location is brilliant - remote enough for the most relaxing holiday with just the sounds of birds and cows for company. But also within a short drive of Aubeterre (for the river beach and restaurants) and Chalais (for supermarket). Pat and Yvonne were brilliant hosts, there when we needed them but discreet otherwise. We were very comfortable as a family of four in the really well-equipped house. The pool was super and our girls had hours of fun. We'd love to return.
