A welcoming comfortable Maison de Maître tastefully renovated keeping the French style mixed with a touch of modern. The house sits on 4 acres within the French countryside north of Bordeaux surrounded by Cognac vines and sunflowers.

We have four large renovated bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms one of which has a roll top bath, another is on the ground floor with easy access and has an adjoining room, which accommodates an extra sofa bed.

This is the first year of opening since we renovated the house. We hope to welcome guests from all over Europe and the UK. Visit our website for more information:

The house provides a beautiful, calm getaway giving a lovely French experience. The bedrooms are comfy and spacious with king size beds and great mattresses for a good sleep, one is a twin bedded room, one is on the ground floor for easy access.

We are family friendly and happy to provide cots and highchairs at no extra cost. Some rooms will take an extra bed for a child, please ask if you would like an extra bed in a room when you book.

There is plenty of space to sit and relax inside or out, with a large comfortable (and cool in the summer) lounge. There is a large, modern and sociable kitchen with a lovely dining area and which has French doors that lead out to the terrace if you fancy al fresco eating.

The terrace has a large table to accommodate up to 12 people and comfortable outside seating. There is also a sun deck which points towards the sunset in the evenings or makes for a great yoga platform in the morning.

We have a large 10m x 5m pool with an alarm which is surrounded by grass and sun lounges and shades. The pool is unheated. There is also table tennis available.

We also have a woodfired hot tub with bubbles and lights which sits adjacent to the terrace and is available by arrangement (at least 8 hours in advance). There is an additional cost for the hot tub on each occasion which can be made ready for you between 5.00 - 8.00pm and then remains hot for the evening.

By arrangement we can provide locally sourced home cooked evening meals cooked by our in-house chef when booked in advance. We are happy to discuss additional requirements such as a barbeque or delicious meals.

You will need a car to get around the area and to reach the house. The quieter, local roads get you to the ports, beaches, nearby towns including pretty coastal villages and larger ports of Royan and La Rochelle, and to the vineyards and Cognac easily.

Plenty of parking with easy access to the house. You may come across Alfie the cat and there is a farm adjacent to the grounds and from time to time farm yard noises can be heard.
