An old renovated farmhouse
You are staying in a large house, an old farmhouse renovated in 2021, which showcases the noble materials and architectural elements of the region. Located 25 minutes from the A75, it is in the town of Valuéjols - in the hamlet of Lescure - and it has a wooded, enclosed garden of 800m². This 2-storey building with a living area of 150 m² includes:
- on the ground floor, the living rooms: a 40m² living room with fireplace and wood stove, a large modern kitchen open to the dining room with fireplace and a "scullery" corner, a relaxation area with table table tennis, a laundry-boiler room with washing machine and dryer.
- on the 1st floor: 2 spacious bedrooms, one with a 160 bed and the other with 2 twin beds of 90, a separate shower room.
- on the 2nd floor: a dormitory room with 4 beds of 90*200 also twin, a bathroom.
- a separate toilet with hand basin on each level.
If necessary, you can have a cot + everything you need: high chair, playpen, bath, etc. We provide you with all the modern equipment (wifi internet, connected TV, oven and microwave, dishwasher, etc.) so that you do not miss anything during your stay. Outside, there is a playground for children, a barbecue and garden furniture, among others. You benefit from a large private parking lot. With a capacity of 8 people, it serves as the ideal base, whether you want to relax in Cantal with family or friends.

Medieval attractions near the accommodation
Nearby, there is a sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin, a real "little cathedral" in the Gothic style with a monumental bell tower with its basalt spire. The town also has the Saint-Saturnin church in the village - a superb medieval monument -, the Romanesque church of Saint-Maurice, chapels, small oratories and elaborate calvaries worthy of interest for those who love old stones. As you move away from the hamlet and more broadly from Valuéjols, other attractions will undoubtedly hold your attention, we are thinking for example:
- the Garabit Viaduct, an impressive contemporary structure spanning the Truyère and its nautical bases,
- at the hottest water source in Europe in Chaudes-Aigues,
- at the Grand Site of Puy Mary,
- the many waterfalls.

From our character house, it only takes 15 to 20 minutes to reach the destinations of Murat and Saint-Flour. The first is a breathtaking testimony to the medieval and Renaissance periods. As for the second, it is home to a water park, Saint-Pierre Cathedral and restaurants in which the ancestral culinary recipes of Auvergne are valued.

A vacation rental 2 km from a ski resort
If you like to indulge in outdoor activities, you won't be bored. The small village of Lescure overlooks the Planèze and is the last hamlet before the Col de Prat-de-Bouc and the Plomb du Cantal, which is the highest point of the largest volcano in Europe. You are therefore at an ideal starting point to explore the summer pastures, meadows and forests by mountain bike, on foot or on snowshoes in winter. During the winter season, you have the opportunity to indulge in cross-country skiing just 2 kilometers away, or to access the Nordic and alpine area of Prat de Bouc which itself allows you to reach the sumptuous resort of Lioran from the tracks.
