The gîte is 40 sq. metres and can accommodate from one to four people. It is located 200m from the centre of the village in a quiet riverside street and though adjoining the main part of the building is completely independent. It has been lovingly renovated in what used to be a watermill house. While renovating it, I tried as hard as possible to retain its original charm and character by leaving visible certain beams and the stonework around the windows. It is the ideal starting point for all your walks and excursions and only a stone’s throw away from Villefort Railway station.
The lodging has one bedroom with a double bed (160 x200), a living area with a sofa bed for 2 extra people and an armchair; the former open fireplace, which once housed a traditional bread oven, now has a little wooden stove installed in it. There is a fitted kitchen (fridge, electric oven with gas plates and washing machine), a small dining area, a bathroom with shower and toilet, and central heating (heat pump)
Wi-Fi is available, a few essentials are provided (oil, vinegar, tea, coffee etc), a smoke detector is installed. There is a parking space for one car in front of the house.
In front of the gîte is a small closed courtyard with a flowerbed, garden furniture and a barbecue.
Extras: small foldable cot, high chair and plastic baby bath. TV and DVD player with DVDs, books in French and English.
Sorry, no pets accepted
Unfortunately the lodging cannot be accessed by people with reduced mobility owing to a stone staircase that leads down to the house.
The lodging has a smoke-free policy.
Although the lodging is completely independent from the main house, I am always available for information on activities and sights in the local area..
