The small village of Ménil-Vin is located in the rolling countryside of the Orne.

The village is too small for its own shops, for groceries we go to the fortified town of Falaise, where you can find tasty bakers and caterers, as well as supermarkets such as Carrefour and E.Leclerc.

On Saturday you can go to the weekly market with many local products, with organic meat products and the famous Norman cheeses.
In the immediate vicinity of the hiking trails and roads between the meadows, the river La Baize, accessible by various paths, for paddling or trout fishing.

In our house "La Gymnopédie", a spacious and independent villa, everything has been done to make your stay as pleasant as possible: a very well equipped kitchen with Bosch dishwasher, Miele oven and microwave, in open connection with the spacious dining room with beautiful fireplace, utility room with Miele washer and dryer, cozy living room with wood burning stove, flat screen TV with DVB reception, comfortable and spacious bedrooms with top quality beds (2 x double / 2 x single), good bathroom with shower, sink and toilet, 2nd toilet on the ground floor.

The house has a nice garden (sun all day!) with good garden furniture, deck chairs and barbecue.
It stays nice and cool in the summer due to the location of the house and the very thick walls.

The whole house has oil-fired radiators and all the windows are double-glazed, which also makes it pleasant to stay in in the winter.
