Many departures of paths and small roads will allow you to walk along the loops of the Sèvre and visit many castles including that of Mursay, home of the family of Aubigné and charming places that saw the blossoming youth of Madame de Maintenon.
The Puy du Fou, the Futuroscope, the beaches of Vendée are 1 hour from the cottage by car.

Coming from Paris by the A10, take the A83 / Niort Center exit and a little further on, exit the A83 motorway, exit 11 towards Niort-Center.
Follow the D648 and when approaching Niort, follow the D648 "All directions". Then at the first exit, take the D743 towards Parthenay. At the first traffic light turn left, follow Rue de Cholette to Rue d'Antes, turn right then the first left is Rue de Bel-Air: you have arrived!
