Bocce ball courtGîte des Roses is a charming and spacious family holiday home on the Deux-Sèvres & Vendée border in western France.
Recently refurbished in 2022, it has 2 bedrooms for 4 guests - a king size bedroom and a twin bedroom. There is a third double bedroom for an additional two guests, available upon request.
There's a large sitting and dining room, kitchen and utility room, family bathroom (bath & walk-in shower) and separate toilet. The garden is fully enclosed garden with table and chairs plus a boules pitch. We welcome 2 medium-large dogs or 3 small dogs for a small additional fee.
Gîte des Roses is only 30 minutes from Puy du Fou theme park and an hour from Futuroscope in Poitiers and the sandy beaches of the west coast. Gîte des Roses has the perfect combination of being a rural retreat but with a good selection of local amenities not more than 10 minutes drive away in Moncoutant to the south or Cerizay to the north. It is also located just 75 minutes drive from Nantes, Poitiers or La Rochelle airports and 3.5-4 hours from the ferry ports of St Malo & Caen.
To experience the theme parks and the beautiful beaches, as well as all the other amazing activities the region has to offer, having a car is advisable. Private off-road parking for two cars is directly outside the gîte. If you like to cycle, the renowned La Voie Verte (an extensive car-free cycle route) is just on the doorstep and is great for dog walks too!
