Sitting at the foot of the mediaeval fortress in this charming mediaeval town, this ancient college dating from the 16th centuryhas been entirely restored in sympathy with its history. Enjoy a unique experience and be seduced by the ambiance with exposed stone mullians and beams. The courtyardinvites you to relax in the garden sofas, the terrce dining area and the cocktail pool (ouverte from April to September, 3 x3 m; 1m50 deep). The historic building is in two parts, the main house and the tower suite, joined by two walkways.
On the ground floor , the large dining area and kitchen looks out onto the courtyard. There is one bedroomwith ensuite bathrom. The bedroom is a superking sized double with ensuite bathroom. There is also a downstairs loo off the entrance hall.
The first floor is entirely taken up by the spacious (900sq ft) salon with woodstove and adequate spaces for all activities including writing, reading, watching TV or playing board games.
On the second floor there are two kingsize double bedrooms, each with a walk in shower room, (the beds can be split into singles). The other bedroom has a kingsize double and a bathroom en suite. All bedrooms on this floor have airconditioning.
The tower suite : (accessible via the walkways from the main house) This gîte needn't feel embarrassed by the presence of the towers of the ancient fortress, having a tower of its own with a stone spiral staircase. On the ground floor is the laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The spiral stairs lead up to the suite with, on the upper mezzanine , a queen size double (140cm wide) and on the lower level a bunk bed with 2 90cm beds and a pull out drawer underneath of 90cm.
