Billiards Table football Games room Private heated poolLocated in the heart of Périgord, in a pretty village offering all amenities, our house is ideally located between the cities of Art and History of Bordeaux and Périgueux, the prehistoric sites of Sarlat and the wine regions of St Emilion, Bordeaux and Bergerac.
At home you can relax in the hammock at the edge of the pond, enjoy the heated swimming pool, stroll in the garden or discover our collection vehicles and creations of local or more distant artists.
Former livestock farm, we have restored it entirely to live comfortably and today offer to introduce it to our guests.
The house consists on the ground floor of a 1950s furnished kitchen offering all the equipment necessary for large families and groups of friends (American fridge, Godin piano, large farm table, dishwasher…), a cozy lounge, a games room with billiards and table football and a WC.
Upstairs you will find 4 spacious bedrooms offering 10 beds, 1 office and 1 bathroom with WC.
All on 200 m² living space.
Are at your disposal books and comics, board games and a big screen with a video projector on which you can connect your laptop (here no TV!), Internet connection and wi fi.
The 4000 m² garden is fully enclosed, you can park your vehicle safely. And for travelers on motorbikes or in vintage vehicles, a covered shelter or a place in the barn with concrete floors can be offered.
In the garden you have the exclusive use of the heated swimming pool, with deckchairs at your disposal and pool house with WC and shower room.
A large covered terrace allows you to enjoy the outdoors at any time, it is suitable for long sunny breakfasts and long evenings around the plancha.
The house is in the heart of the village of St Astier which offers all the amenities: all shops, theater, cinema, tennis courts (one of which is covered), indoor swimming pool, one of the biggest weekly markets in Dordogne, tourist cycle route, fishing in the Isle tributary of the Dordogne, hiking trails ……

Journey in August 2020
"Tout simplement parfait !"
Nous avons séjourné dans ce gîte en août 2020 (après une longue période de confinement) et ce lieu fut pour nous un vrai petit coin de paradis. La maison est spacieuse et décorée avec soins dans une ambiance rétro. Les chambres sont grandes et restent relativement fraîches même en pleine canicule. Il y a cependant pas mal de marches pour circuler dans la maison. La salle de jeux est super avec babyfoot billard et flipper d’époque en parfait état. Soirée cinéma grâce au vidéo projecteur.
Tout était extrêmement propre et parfaitement entretenu. Nous avons beaucoup profité de la piscine d’une très bonne taille (je mesure 1,60 et j’avais presque pas pieds) mais aussi du coin hamac et du potager. Les propriétaires nous ont laissé nous servir en fruits et légumes. Les enfants ont adoré donner à manger aux poules et aux chèvres (mais sinon quelqu’un s’en serait occupé).
Enfin la maison est idéalement située à quelques rues du centre ville (Marché chaque semaine) et avec un supermarché accessible à pieds.
Nous avons été très bien accueillis et avons pu facilement joindre les propriétaires en cas de questions.
Je recommande les yeux fermés !
