For an atypical stay in our beautiful country of the Ardèche, we propose to accommodate you in this little nest, the old dovecote located in our garden.

18th century building (renovated!), with the charm of old stone and lime, it is made up of 3 levels:
- on the ground floor: the laundry room, with washing machine, sink and toilet, of which you will have exclusive use, and the solar shower;
- on the 1st level: your terrace overlooking the garden and offering a nice view, and the living space: living room (sofa bed 140x190) and basic kitchen equipment: kettle, coffee maker, microwave, small fridge, stone to cook, crockery… no cooker, but barbecue at your disposal (except prefectural prohibition) and if you are friendly, possibility of using our kitchen; on reservation, we can also prepare a breakfast tray, or "discovery of local products" (see below)
- on the 2nd level: the bedroom

The set is defined by a few pairs of words: modest and warm, simple and cozy, rustic and glamorous, small and bright, white and blue! happy sobriety...

To note :
- ideal for 2 or 3 people, 4 maxi (already tight!), the layout of the place is unfortunately not suitable for the reception of young children or people with reduced mobility
- a private bathroom is planned this fall, but for the moment non-existent, we share ours (we are not wild, discreet and sometimes sociable neighbors), quite comfortable.
In summer, you will also have the exotico-bucolic leisure of using the solar shower, installed in a discreet nook at the bottom of the dovecote staircase.
- no television or WiFi (well no... in full decline! but Barjac sometimes benefits from 4G!) the birds take care of brightening up the atmosphere and the little light pollution allows you to fully admire the celestial vault
- totally slaves to our 3 cats, and the many feathered or hairy visitors (cats, cats, re-cats, hedgehogs, hoopoes, jays, tits, swifts, etc.) who also enjoy the privilege of our garden in the middle of the village , we cannot accommodate your pets
- on reservation, we can prepare a discovery tray, made up of local products (mainly organic) or a breakfast

Area :
In a quiet area, half a step from the Renaissance village center of Barjac, you will easily find the tourist office, post office, banks, doctors, veterinarians, producers' shop, shops and restaurants of all kinds, arthouse cinema, library, and a multitude of associations and festive and/or cultural events.

Without forgetting of course the weekly market on Friday morning, the night market on Monday evening (July August), and the many fairs (organic, flea market, potters song to text, etc.) which guarantee social ties and entertainment in the village.

Barely further, the wonders of Gard and Ardèche rivers, minerals and scrubland form unique landscapes, which offer a host of outdoor leisure activities, towns and villages tell their stories through cultural heritage rich in possibilities of anachronistic discoveries .
A little further still, the Cévennes, the Mediterranean, Mont Ventoux, Pic st Loup...

The easiest way is to park on the Place Haute Fontaine, car park next to the public school, 50 meters from the dovecote (clearly visible on the map). Private parking also possible, on the property, but which requires a skilful maneuver: better to come and see before if it suits you.
