Chez Claire - Gîtes La Poterie de Pierroux

In the heart of the Luberon regional natural park, a few steps from Roussillon, La Poterie de Pierroux welcomes you, an artist's house in the heart of which two craftsmen carry out their pottery and pressing activities (manual press).

"Chez Claire", we have almost arrived at the pottery, we will see Alain, the potter, we will be able to reach the workshop in a few steps and learn about the clay, touch, concentration, pleasure...
But also just enjoy the surrounding nature, the perched villages...
The capacity of the accommodation can be up to five people to accommodate a family with children, the last bed is a sofa bed on the ground floor.

All our cottages have private outdoor spaces, patio and garden or terrace and garden.

Historically Bed and Breakfast, we offer you the opportunity to enjoy our good breakfast products: homemade jams and yogurt, juices pressed by Lionel, local organic honey and bread... All to be enjoyed in the house's pottery..

And if you feel like it, the workshop is open! Alain, potter for almost 30 years, trainer, art therapist, offers courses and activities, alone to surpass yourself, with family for a moment of sharing, many options are possible.

Walk
La Poterie de Pierroux is located on the edge of GR 6 and 9 (Map IGN 3142 OT).
By bike
5 km from the Calavon cycle route, used for the Luberon bike tour, as well as close to the “ochres by bike” loop.
By car
From the North: A7 motorway exit “Avignon Sud”, head towards Apt (around 40 min), then Roussillon (uphill for 5 km). At the sign entering the village, turn right at the small roundabout (direction Apt-Ecomusée de l'Ocre). 200m further take the first road on the left (direction Gordes). It is the D199 or route des Gaillanes, another 800m and the Poterie de Pierroux is on your right at 1004-1010.
By bus
We benefit from around 5 daily connections with Avignon (TGV station and central station). To reach La Poterie, take buses to Apt or Digne and ask the driver to stop at the “Pont Julien” stop. Let us know when you arrive and we will come pick you up.
