Bed & Breakfast L'Ange Gardien

In the middle of the limestone tableland Causse Méjean you are welcome at L’Ange Gardien. In the small hamlet of Nivoliers with many typical houses Nicole and André have set up a “chambres / tables d’hôtes” according to Belgian standards. Here you can enjoy the quietness of the Causse Méjean.
L’Ange Gardien is a meeting place for walkers and nature lovers, for sportsmen and people looking for challenges and for the true bon vivant.
Here you find a variety of activities and many visits to satisfy your curiosity.

L’Ange Gardien puts two authentic vaulted rooms (21 & 26m) at your disposal, each one equipped with an individual bathroom with shower, double washbasin and individual toilet. Each room has its own character and they are equipped with a small reading and sitting area. Both rooms give out onto the lower garden with garden furniture to enjoy sunbathing. In summertime on the upper terrace you can enjoy reading a book, connecting on internet, are read tourist information.

In the evening you can enjoy our “table d’hôtes”. The meal is composed of an aperitif with appetizer, soup or a starter, a main course and dessert. All dishes are homemade and most of the ingredients are cultivated and produced in the area. Nature provides different sorts of mushrooms, wild fruits and herbs, depending on the season. The region is also well known for its sheep breeding and its derived products. So “terroir” products are very important for the preparation of our meals!
As beverage we can offer Belgian beers, our own brews, or if you prefer, local wines. Water and soft drinks are also available. To end your meal coffee or tea is served.
Dinner is served for 30 euro a person. All drinks during the meal are included.

UNESCO putted the Cévennes and the Causses on their world heritage list as exceptional landscape. What a nice award !

You are coming by car from Clermont Ferrand/A75
Take the A75-exit 39.1 (Chanac/St.-Enimie), then follow the N88 until Chanac, take in Chanac the D31/D44 and the D986 until St.-Enimie. In St.-Enimie take the D986 over the river Tarn and follow until the “Col du Coperlac”. Then go left in the direction of Mas St.Chély and follow until the crossroad with the D16. Follow the D16 until the crossroad with the D63. Go right on the D63 until Nivoliers. In the center of Nivoliers follow the blue signs or turn to the left at “Auberge du Chanet”.

Your coming by car from Bollène/A7
Take the A7 exit 19 (Bollène). Follow the N86 towards Bagnols-sur-Ceze, then the D6 to Alès. From here take the N106 until Florac. Drive through the town, at the roundabout with the gendarmerie, follow the signs “Causse Mejean” and take the D16 to the junction of the airport "Le Chanet. Go left on the D63 until Nivoliers, in the hamlet we turn left at "Auberge du Chanet" and immediately left again.

Your coming by car from Béziers/A75
From Béziers follow the A75 until exit 47 La Cavalerie. Here follow the D809 to Millau. Drive around Millau and follow here the D29 to Aguessac, then the D907 to Le Rozier. In Le Rozier follow D996 to Le Truel / Le Maynial. Take on your left side the D63 to Hures la Parade. Take at your right side the D986 to the junction with the D63. Left through Drigas, Hures, Le Villaret until Nivoliers. In the hamlet turn right at "Auberge du Chanet" and immediately left again.

Are you taking the train or flying in?
The Cévennes can be reached by taking the TGV to Nîmes and the local train to Alès, or the train to Mende or Millau. There you can rent a car or call a taxi. Also you can fly to Rodez or Nîmes airport and take the train, taxi to Alès or rent a car.

After consultation (and a small fee) we can come and pick you up at Millau, Mende or Alès.
