Musée Sundgauvien

The Renaissance backed the town hall, a sumptuous residence of former bailiff of the manor houses four floors of an interesting regional museum. You can find collections of Paleontology, prehistory, various objects of the Gallo-Roman and Merovingian and elements of popular arts and traditions of southern Alsace (including a very rich collection of costumes, hats and parts lingerie). Beautiful paintings of JJ Henner and other works of great painters Sundgau half complete the funding of this museum that also has some beautiful sculptures of Felix Voulot. A large room is further devoted to the presentation of ongoing regional painters and especially Sundgau half the museum has already: Jean-Jacques Henner, Leo Lehmann, Zwiller Augustine, Robert Breitwieser, Arthur Schachenmann ...
