Designed as a center for archaeological documentation of ancient trade, the Museum of Docks evokes port activity in Marseille between the sixth century BC. BC and the fourth AD. AD The museum also houses the fruit underwater archaeological research by presenting several objects from shipwrecks that sank off the coast of Marseille.
