Located on the site of the fortress of the Dukes of Burgundy, in the pleasure palace renovated by the Count of Provence, the museum overlooks the Saone. On the ground floor, the Museum presents its rich permanent collection of sculptures from the late Middle Ages to Post-Impressionist paintings from the late nineteenth century. In the old cellars takes place in local archeology and a fine collection of Greek vases of the fourth and fifth centuries.
