Grotte-Aven de la Forestière

Discovered there are fewer than 40 years, the cave-aven the Forest is one of the cavities of recent importance of the Ardeche. Located in the woods south of the Bastide de Virac, some think that this cavity could be part of the vast network of Orgnac. It is known from topographical accurate as it reaches a few hundred meters from the cave of the Forest-Aven, Aven originally called crystals. However, this cavity is very shallow (upper array) and is characterized also by countless roots that after crossing the ceiling, hang inside the cavity. This cavity is concretionary and has particularly strong colors.

Cave-Aven in the Forest is operated for Tourism and is closed outside the tourist season.
