16130 ARS
The lordship of Ars dowry of Jeanne Balanzac who married in the early fourteenth century with William Bremond, remained in the family of Bremond d'Ars until the late nineteenth century.
In 1651, while Jean-Louis de Bremond d'Ars Cognac defended by slingers besieged his wife Guillemette imprisoned in the castle by defending. It also had a canal dug to drain the marshes for Ars.
There remains no trace of the first medieval castle.
Access to the castle by crossing the moat by a bridge, and it is opposite the main building with a wing, newer building which is a right-angle. The door and windows of the house are decorated with sculptures, and the roof has an oculus flanked by two openings on each side.
Outside, two of the angles of the buildings have a watch-tower corbelled.
