Abbaye Notre-Dame d'Aiguebelle

The Abbey of Our Lady of Aiguebelle was founded June 26, 1137, in honor of the Virgin Mary. The new monastery soon received important donations in Dauphine, in the Land of Orange and Vivarais.

At the end of the thirteenth century, the abbey exercised great influence on the Provence, Dauphine and Auvergne before being removed by the great revolution of 1791.

From 1815, the Abbey has seen a revival which was to continue to this day.
