Gregory Montaner, who rules the Abbey from 1028 to 1072, makes a powerful artistic center bringing together the most talented sculptors and illustrators, including Stephanus Garsia, author of the Beatus miniatures.
The Abbey is a historic monument in 1911 and World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998, under paths St-Jacques in France.
