In Sologne, a region renowned for fishing and hunting, we are delighted to welcome you to La Sauldraie, set amidst 3 hectaures of wooded floral grounds, just one kilometre from the river Sauldre and the centre of the village, for an overnight stay or a longer break. This former family mansion possesses several charming rustic bedrooms on the ground floor and first floor, along with a cosy lounge, a dining room with open fireplace and an air-conditioned panoramic reception room which looks onto a garden where children can play freely and safely. Private secure car park. In fine weather, relax and unwind on our terrace and enjoy the tasty traditional-style dishes prepared by our chef along with a selection of fine wines from the Loire.
La Sauldraie is located just one hour from from some of the most well-known of the Loire chateaux, including Chambord, Cheverny or Chenonceaux, but also less known examples such as Château du Moulin with its strawberry conservatory, La Ferté St Aubin with its kitchen steeped in history and its toy attic, and last but not least Villesavin with its wedding museum and ghost quest. Salbris is also the gateway to Sologne and its typical villages, its brickwork buildings, its churches, its ecomuseums such as the house of lakes at St Viâtre, the poaching house at Chaon or the deer house at Ligny le Ribault. Not forgetting many miles of walking and hiking routes to discover the fauna and flora of this region so rich in natural wonders. Midway (60km) between Bourges and Orléans, two towns with a rich architectural heritage, La Sauldraie is the ideal hub for visiting the region, discovering the Jacques C?ur trail and the vineyards of Sancerre. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy the international go-kart track in Salbris, many golf courses, riding centres, lakes and swimming complexes.
