Mont Saint Michel bay (10km) is a UNESCO World Heritage site,and can be admired from a range of different points including Grouin Point in Brittany and Saint-Jean-le-Thomas in Normandy. The bay is as worthy of a visit as the Mount itself, with the possibility of enjoying a guided crossing of the bay on foot.
Isle of Chausey (40km + 1 hour boat trip) an island that plays host to some of the strongest tidal flows and that is well-known and well-liked by sailors, fishermen and painters alike. Wander through the village or along the beaches, or admire the marine birds that inhabit the rocks. Many hiking routes and coastal paths are to be found around the hotel. You may also wish to discover Montmorel Abbey, a magnificent site built in a meander of the Sélune.
Ducey chateau, currently undergoing restoration work, can nevertheless be visited free of charge before becoming a protestant museum.
