Welcome to "Oyan House".
The owners Steffen and Susana, a Hispano-German couple, have a typical farmhouse of the region renovated with great taste.
The house dates from the 18th century. The former barn and part of the house and the former attic of the farm have been renovated and converted into four comfortable holiday apartments.
The apartments are named "Stable", "Grenier", "Larrun" and "Ganbera".
Each apartment has a separate entrance and offers enough space to enjoy the quietness.
The hosts can really feel at home.

"Oyan-zain-baita" is the ideal place to spend a wonderful holiday, whether for mountain lovers who want to go hiking from the house or for lovers of the beach and the sea.
The coast is only 10 minutes away.
Be it racing, mountain biking, surfing, sailing, golf or horse riding ...
The Atlantic is close to you and the surrounding mountains provide you with their nature and infrastructure a multitude of choices between water sports, air and land.

The Basque name of the house is "Oyan-zain-baita" which means "forest house" (a good coincidence, because Steffen comes from a family of forest ranger in the Black Forest in Germany).

The house is ideal for getting to know the Basque culture in France and that in Spain.
The region, with its exceptional and varied offer of beautiful villages and towns, excellent gastronomy, many customs and traditions as well as interesting architecture and a landscape left wild, invites to be discovered.

The house is located in a rural setting and quiet with a beautiful view of the pastures and the foothills of the Pyrenees, at the foot of the mountain "La Rhune" (900 meters), between the idyllic villages of Urrugne and Ascain (5 minutes).
Very close to the Atlantic coast: Saint-Jean-de-Luz (10 minutes), Hendaye (15 minutes), Biarritz (20 minutes) and Spanish cities Hondarribia (20 minutes) and San Sebastián (30 minutes).

The owners live in the grounds of the property and will be at your disposal for any questions and will gladly help you make your holiday unforgettable

The apartments are surrounded by a large garden with tables and benches for the well-being of guests, with direct access to the creek that borders the house and which allows to cool off in summer. There is still the old stone wash. There are also hundred-year-old trees that you will appreciate the shade they provide: plane trees, a beech, an oak and two plum trees (each with a different variety of plums that you can enjoy).

On the A63 exit ST. JEAN DE LUZ SOUTH
• Follow the ASCAIN-URRUGNE sign
• Follow the URRUGNE sign (and drive 1 Km)
• Arrival at a roundabout
• Take direction ASCAIN / OLHETTE (and drive 1 km straight)
• Another roundabout, always straight (and drive 4 Km, not direction Col d'Ibardin, always drive towards Olhette / Ascain / Sare)
• Then last little roundabout, direction CIBOURE / SCHOOL D'OLHETTE (and drive 300m straight)
• Take the third road on the left (next to the school), pass the small bridge, it is the first house in front of you with green shutters.
