Prive zwembad Games voor kinderen FietspadL’Olivier Gite is a converted donkey barn, that is adjoining our family home at the far end, it is beautifully decorated throughout and equipped splendidly, originally built in 1891 it changed to habitable living accommodation and was tastefully renovated in 2022 retaining the charm of the stone and original beams. Outside is a charming courtyard and separated terrace. It is located on a no through road, with no passing traffic which adds to the tranquillity of semi-rural living.
Lizant is one of the most beautiful villages in the region, it has its own family bakery and a well-established bar called Salamander and two Brocantes. Road transport links provide easy access to Poitiers, Limoges, La Rochelle and Bordeaux airports, Ruffec station has trains to Poitiers with TGV trains to Paris and Lille (with Eurostar connections to the UK and continent) The property which benefits from on-site parking for cars, motorhomes or caravans is close to the NR10 (NR10 Paris – Bordeaux), making it ideal for a stopover during a stopover between other European countries. Situated on the border of the department between Charente and Vienne, the house is ideally located to reach all points of the compass, whether north of Poitiers, which has an exceptional architectural heritage, incredible gardens and the famous Futuroscope, south to Angoulême and Cognac, renowned for its vineyards and the Hennessy distillery to the Val de Vienne motor racing circuit.

Come off the N10 signposted towards Ruffec Travelling on the D1 towards Civray, take the left turn towards Lizant on to the D104. Follow the road and take the second turning on your left onto La Fragnee. Drive along this road, just before the set of gates at the end of the road there is a large gravels parking area. You have arrived.

"UN GITE EN TOUS POINTS CONFORME A NOS ATTENTES"
Toute notre famille : Jean-Michel, Danielle, Antoine, Caroline, Jonas et les filles Ella, Alix, Nora, ainsi que la petite chienne Bobine ont passé un excellent séjour dans ce gite d’exception : l’Olivier à La Fragnée à l’occasion de la cérémonie de remise le la Légion d’Honneur au grand-père Yvon à laquelle nos charmants hôtes Beverley et Tim nous ont fat le plaisir de participer.
A notre arrivée, la table était dressée et des petits gâteaux nous ont permis de combler un petit creux après un long voyage.
Le gite est vraiment spacieux pour huit personnes et particulièrement bien décoré dans un style “so british”.
Le vaste terrain autour est très agréable aussi et a permis à chacun de se détendre : lecture dans le salon de jardin, parties de football ou badminton, balançoire, seule, la température un peu fraiche de ce début mai nous a empêchée de profiter de la piscine !
Nous reviendrons !

"Hôtes irréprochables"
Hartelijk dank aan Beverley en Tim voor hun welkom, ze zijn op elk moment van de dag bereikbaar met een kleine anekdote 😉 gisteravond ging de afvoer onder de keukenhendel los = lekker voetenbad 🫣 bedankt aan Beverley en Tim voor hun reactievermogen….. Tim, het is Frans loodgieterswerk 😜😜😂.
Het huisje is daarentegen zeer functioneel, alles is aanwezig voor een uitstekend verblijf.
Zeer schoon en zeer smaakvol ingericht.
Het is zeer goed gelegen voor een bezoek aan de 3 aangrenzende departementen.
Wij zijn van plan om terug te keren en raden dit huisje ten zeerste aan.
Ik kijk ernaar uit u weer te ontmoeten.

"Loved our stay!"
This was our first time staying at L’Olivier gîte and we were astounded by the level of comfort and cleanliness. Both Bev and Tim were very friendly and welcoming and helped with suggesting places to visit in the local area as well as making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The gîte itself is beautiful and full of character and amazing value for the three nights we stayed. We loved it so much that we have already booked again to come back in the summer!

"Great stay!"
This is now my second stay at L’Olivier Gite on my way driving to Spain and I can not rate this enough! Clean, cosy & friendly. The amenities are great and the hosts could not be more accommodating. Just as described and one of the more pleasing places to stay in the area not just basic, beautiful. Would 100% recommend and will be staying again! 5 star stay!

"Magnifique gîte dans un endroit fabuleux"
Zeer mooi huisje in een vriendelijk dorp met goede voorzieningen. Het huisje is prachtig ingericht en brandschoon. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren.
