Rural gîte in the old building of a blacksmith, located in the town of Pont-sur-Sambre, a town surrounded by the “La Sambre” river canal.
The village is in the heart of the Avesnois regional natural park, just near the Mormal forest, the largest forest massif in the North of France and the only one which is home to a population of deer. The lodge is therefore the starting point for many walks.
The house is designed to accommodate 11 people with 4 master suites, one of which is two rooms. Each of the suites offers a living space with kitchenette and TV, a sleeping area with comfortable brand bedding, a bathroom and a toilet.
The 4 family suites are located around a large common area offering a large living room for 14 people, a large equipped kitchen and a 5/6-seat living room, all opening onto a large tiled terrace and a large hanging garden with trees.
Parking is on public roads and is free.
The Avesnois regional natural park has numerous centers of interest for all forms of tourism: villages and fortified churches, water mills, museums, restaurants and estaminets offering local cuisine by combining local cheeses and craft beers of the region, zoological parks, nautical base, aquatic centers with diving pool.
The Belgian border is a few kilometers away and you can also find good chocolate, good Trappist beer and other curiosities.
