For information, here are the routes taken by residents of our area to get to Limoges, Tulle or Brive
If you ride with a GPS to check:
Calvinet and Mourjou neighboring commune merged on January 1, 2019. The new commune is called Puycapel, or Calvinet 15340 Puycapel in one word.
Puy – Capel is located in the Calvinet forest with an unpaved dirt road
Limoges-Aurillac = approximately 3 hours
Limoges-Tulle, Argentat, N 120 towards Aurillac
Montvert, Nieudan, St Paul des Landes, Aurillac.
This is the usual route for people in the region.

Arrival at Aurillac
At the roundabout: direction Toulouse Montauban
Then follow straight towards Clermont;
At the big crossroads take: Direction Rodez on the right (D 920)
At Arpajon Exit, direction. Rodez-Montsalvy
After the coast: Senilhes direction Lafeuillade
Roundabout: D 601 on the right: direction Calvinet,
Lacapelle del Fraisse
Calvinet: arrive at the village square, turn left, in front of the town hall post office, go down rue D66 less than 100 m.
Rental = 1st house with balcony, on the right, under the public scale house

Or Limoges +A 20 Brive
Gramat exit Then national to Figeac

Exit 56: Livermon direction Figeac
Figeac exit take the N122 towards Aurillac
then Bagnac sur Célé, Maurs with some dangerous turns

At the bakery: Do not pass to the right through the village
Go straight ahead. Halfway along the straight, turn left towards St Antoine. MARCOLES
Arriving at the intersection, turn right (D 19), direction Calvinet.

Arrival in Cantal by A75
Clermont-Aurillac = approx. 2h30
Clermont Ferrand Follow A 75, direction Montpellier, Aurillac
15 km before Issoire, speed limited area. Dangerous turns especially in wet or cold weather.
Exit 23 towards Massiac
1st ad “Chalet area, exit 23”
2nd ad “exit 23, 1000 m
Keep right, slow down, not very obvious exit and big right turn on the descent.
Exit Massiac, direction Aurillac (N 122) on the right.
