Nestled between the charming villages of Chassenon and Chabanais, in the beautiful Charente region, this spacious gîte offers comfort and tranquility for 4 to 6 guests.
Chassenon is rich in history, home to the impressive Roman archaeological site, Cassinomagus, where you can explore ancient baths and marvel at the past. The gîte itself features two large bedrooms and a thoughtfully designed living space.
The well-appointed kitchen flows seamlessly into the dining room, creating a welcoming area for shared meals.
A separate lounge with a cozy wood burner invites you to relax after a day of exploring. From the dining area, a staircase leads to the mezzanine, where you’ll find additional sleeping options with a futon that can accommodate one adult or small children.
The first bedroom, located straight ahead, boasts an ensuite bathroom and offers lovely views over the peaceful countryside.
Across the mezzanine, the second bedroom sits next to a spacious family bathroom. This open and inviting space is equipped with modern comforts, including a Smart TV, DVD player, and WiFi — perfect for those who wish to stay connected.
Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, this gîte in Chassenon promises a memorable stay amidst French charm and history. For those in need of a little extra pampering, the friendly host is a skilled beauty therapist, offering a range of treatments to help you unwind and feel rejuvenated during your stay. Look forward to meeting you Additional price info and offers: We expect the property to be left as you find it. There will be a cleaning charge if the gite is not left clean and tidy. HEATING If you would like heating , there will be additional cost for the week of 50€. let me know if this is required and I will make sure it is on before you arrive. WOOD There is an additional cost for wood if required , of 65€ per cubic metre , the 1st cube included CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR We will provide a christmas tree and decorate the gîte before arrival, please let us know if this is not required

We are situated in the charentais countryside, with views of a beautiful Chateau and surrounded by fields of a working Limousin cattle farm. The views overlooking the vienne valley are stunning. Chabanais , the nearest town within walking distance down a country lane, with all the amenities , bakers butchers banks supermarket. We are not far from the RN141, great access to Limoges airport and city , Angoulême and Cognac.
A great location for days out, coming back to the tranquillity of the countryside and private swimming pool and BBQ
The gite is only 15 minutes away from the Lacs de Haute Charente, fabulous lakes for swimming, sailing, water sports, bars,horse riding and great beach.
Limoges is only 25 -35 minutes by car with the international airport Belleguarde. Beautiful ancient porcelaine town with many sites to see.
Angouleme 40 minutes away again with loads to see and do.
Cognac a little further afield , but worth the visit, beautiful old town with all the cognac houses, great opportunity to taste the local drink.

Een hele leuke vakantie gehad in de gite. Deborah en Garry zijn de perfecte eigenaars, staan klaar met raad en daad. Ook erg behulpzaam. De gïte beschikt over alles wat nodig is voor een deugddoende, rustige vakantie . Heel rustig en toch dichtbij een dorpje. Mooie, afgesloten tuin, waar de honden e...
