A new barn conversion offering comfort, peace and tranquillity in this small village nestling deep in the countryside of the Cote d'Or. Light, bright accommodation furnished to the owners high standards, sleeps 5 in an elegant double room with ample storage coordinating furniture and an en-suite shower room, a spacious twin room with great views, storage and an en-suite shower room, and a single bedroom with a WC and basin.
A staircase leads downstairs to the open plan living area with fully fitted kitchen, dining for 6 and comfortable lounge area with TV and DVD player. 2 sets of French doors open onto a wooden decking terrace with outside dining for 6 and BBQ. The lower garden terrace has sun loungers ready to enjoy the views of the village below.
Discover all that Burgundy has to offer with sites and restaurants a short drive away. The owners offer a shopping service to make your arrival pain free, and home cooked meals are available made to order by the owner.

Also bespoke menus can be created by prior arrangement for you and your family.
If you would like to travel with extended family or friends, have a look at our other gite on this website. Fresh bread is baked daily and available for delivery to the window sill. Free WiFi for you to use. The owners live in the house next door, they can provide information on all the local attractions, and arrange private wine tastings nearby. Our younger guests are just as important to us. To make their stay comfortable we have a lovely cot (and a second travel cot is also available) with a new mattress and pretty linens.
We also have a high chair, toddlers chairs, Baby-Dan play pen, changing mat, microwave oven, plastic cups and plates, baby listening monitor, step for bathroom, potties and a selection of toys and books for all ages.
Bespoke children's meals can be provided by the owners by prior arrangement.
A toddler paddling pool is available for hot days for the terrace area.

Heelijk huisje met alle gemakken voorzien. De eigenaresse Shoren en haar echtgenoot Gregoire maken heerlijke gerechten van verse lokale groenten die geserveerd worden aan huis. Gezien de prijs, hoef je zelf niet te koken. Wanneer je van rust houdt (het is een klein Frans dorpje) en authentiek dan beveel ik één van haar huisjes aan. Wij verbleven met zijn tweeën in The Barn en geven het een 10!

Heerlijke 2 weken gehad in la Guimbarde. Heerlijk rustig huis en genoeg te doen in de omgeving om dagjes weg te gaan. Heerlijk dat Sharon kookte: Boeuf bourgonion, lasagne, casoulette, allerlei kipgerechten: we deden er vaak 2 dagen van. In de ochtend verwend met croissants en baquettes. Zijn superv...
