The gite offers an open plan living space with a kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
The cottage has its own private garden and patio with garden furniture and barbecue as well as direct access to the vast shared gardens and a large shared swimming pool.
The facilities include kiddies play area and wooden fort, sand pit, swings, book and game room, badminton net and football area.
The whole property is walled and gated so that parents can relax while the children can run and play. The gite is fully equipped with a kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, oven, cooker and everything you need to enjoy the local produce.
The living area is equipped with comfortable seating and satellite TV. There is fast and reliable free wifi throughout the property. Our 3 bedroom gite called La Cave is charming and rustic property located within The Domaine de Rochebonne and is loaded with charm and character and was used as a wine cellar from the 1750s up until the late 20th century. Within 10 minutes walk from your holiday accommodation you can find a restaurant, a bar, a boulangerie, a small grocery shop and post office all located on the village square in St Just- Luzac.

COVID-19 We have invested in professional grade disinfection equipment and products and we are abiding to a strict protocol which will be followed rigorously before each arrival and after each departure. In order to protect our guests as well as ourselves, in accordance with the local authorities we have taken the following precautions: Your arrival Upon your arrival please phone us so that we can come and greet you outside and show you to your accommodation. We request that our guests respect a distance of minimum 2 metres from another guest or a member of staff. We will be providing hand sanitiser to each party upon arrival as well as one facemask for each guest within each party. We kindly request that you don't come round to our office / home but contact us by phone or SMS If there is anything you need.
Of course if you see us outdoors on the grounds then don't hesitate to come and chat.
We are always available to make sure you have everything you need and always happy to help. Entrance and exit. Our gites 1 to 8 and the Studio all share the same main entrance gate as well as the small back woodland gate.
Both these gates must be kept closed at all times so please take precautions when opening and closing the gate.
At each entrance to the property there will be hand sanitiser and / or hand washing facilities.
You must use these every time you enter the property even if you have been out only for a few minutes. Cleaning Le Domaine de Rochebonne staff will enter the rental after each guest's departure to carry out the end of stay clean* and to disinfect the rental from top to bottom following a strict government issued checklist. Upon departure, each guest must leave all the interior and exterior doors as well as windows and skylights of the rental wide open regardless of the weather. Bed linen and towels NEW! From the 1st of February 2021 all our rental prices include bed linen, bath towels and pool towels prepared by a professional Covid-19 compliant laundry service and the beds will be made for your arrival. Communal areas Communal areas such as pools and play areas will be cleaned and disinfected everyday and a maximum number of people at any time could be imposed.
We have provided surface disinfectant, hand sanitizer and wipes close to the play areas and pool. Most importantly, remember to wash your hands very frequently.

8 kms from your holiday accommodation there is the impressive bridge over to the island of Oleron where there are a number of interesting towns such as the fortified town le Chateau d’Oleron, St Trojan les Bains, the port of La Cotiniere and amazing beaches.
15 to 20 kms away you can get to the seaside town of Royan with its beachfront promenades and a large selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Rochefort has plenty of historical monuments such as La Corderie royale, la place Colbert and the fully operational replica of the 1779 frigate L'hermione. In La Palmyre there is one of the biggest and best zoos in Europe with over 1800 species. There is also a number of amusement parks including Luna Park and go karting tracks
30 to 40kms away there is the town of La Rochelle which is loaded with history and charm and has numerous pedestrian streets with many shops, bars and restaurants, ancient fortifications and museums. In the opposite direction there is the historical town of Saintes with its romain ampitheathre, paleolithic site, Roman aqueduct, L'abbaye aux dames, St Pierre’s Cathedral and many bars, shops, and restaurants within its pedestrian streets.
To explore the region we do recommend having a car as the public transport in the immediate area in not very frequent. There is public transport by bus from St Just-Luzac which can take you to nearby towns including Rochefort, Royan, Saintes, Marennes and La Rochelle. In Rochefort, Royan, Saintes and La Rochelle there are mainline train stations where you can catch the local trains and the TGV. The closest international airports are La Rochelle which is 45 Minutes away and Bordeaux which is 1 hour away. The closest motorway exit is in Saintes which is 35 minutes away
