A well maintained, charming countryside gite situated in a tranquille village between La Haye Du Puits and Saint Sauveur Le Vicomte, within easy driving of Normandy landing and beaches and local cultural attractions.
Please note that this gite will not be sold via Gites.eu/Holidu for 2027 as they charge us, the owners, 23% commission plus TVA, making a huge dent in our earnings, and we would have to increase our prices substantially.
We feature on many small holiday companies not owned by Holidu. The Gite is self contained with a private entrance, patio and gravel outside dining area and a large shaded lawn, ideal for dogs and children.
The Gite is modern and the furnishings have been carefully chosen for quality and practicality The off road parking can accommodate 2 vehicles. A good sized modern kitchen is equipped with amenities to make your stay suitable for home cooking and dining including coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher.
A modern efficient washing machine is also available during your stay.
There is a downstairs twin bedroom ideal for a second couple or children and a modern shower room giving privacy and independence.
All are tastefully decorated and furnished. Our comfortable lounge with multi-channel TV and a dining area for 4 people, looks onto the outside patio area through double opening doors.
A selection of board games and books are at your disposal.
There are 4 steps to the downstairs bathroom.
All stairs have hand rails and are carpeted. Fibre internet has recently been connected making home working a possibility. Outside you will find a BBQ, table and chairs and sun loungers, plus a cycle shed for storage.
The area catches evening sunlight for alfresco dining and apperos.
The safety of a fully enclosed garden will ensure the happiness of your dogs to enjoy the outside areas freely.
The fencing is 1200mm high. Dogs must be well-behaved and not accustom to constant barking in respect of neighbours. Our village is quiet and tranquil for those wanting a base for exploring the D-Day landing beaches or walking in the beautiful countryside. There is 1 step to the front entrance and the side entrance is step free as is the patio.
The garden at the rear is reached by 4 steps. We reside next door, so are able to answer any queries should guests have any but respect our guests privacy at all times. No heating is included in July and August. Heating is charged at 50 Euros per week or 8 Euros per night for short stays.
This is payable in cash on arrival. We supply one set of bedding and one set of towels per person per stay.
There is a charge for additional towels or sets of bedding of 15 Euros per set of either towels or bedding. The gite is strictly NON-smoking/vaping.
Guests are kindly requested to keep any smoke well away from the lounge opening doors and the surrounding curtains.
Should the curtains be found to have any smoke smells, we reserve the right to withold the deposit for dry cleaning.
The same applies if smoking has taken place in any internal rooms as extra cleaning/dry cleaning will be required . Additional price info and offers: Tax de Sejour is not included. No charge for 4 well behaved dogs - please let us know if you are bringing more than one dog. We have 4 dachshunds ourselves! Heating is charged at 8 Euros per night. The Gite is in the small village of Varenguebec with some 320 inhabitants. It overlooks fields and is very private. There is little noise with the odd tractor passing by in the day. There is no public transport so a car is needed but those fit enough could cycle to the local towns. The village is very safe, however we can offer locked garaging for bicycles.

Fijne gite, met een heerlijk afgeschermde tuin. Voor onze hondjes was het een ideale plek! En een fijne gastvrouw en gastheer. Alles compleet in de gite aanwezig! Groetjes Wies en Janny Koese

Julie en Martin zijn een prima gastvrouw en -heer en zorgen ervoor dat het je aan niks ontbreekt. De keuken is groot en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het bed ligt prima en het geheel maakt een verzorgde indruk. We hebben er een prima week gehad.

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in Gîte la Landelle! Een perfect huisje met alles erop en eraan, prima keuken, douche en bedden en een heerlijke tuin, ook voor de hond.
Prima weer gehad en heel veel gezien, kortom perfect! We komen zeker nog eens terug!
