Le Gite du Puits Sleeps four people
Le Gîte du Puits is a light and airy gîte accommodating up to four people making it perfect for family friendly holidays.
The property has lovely exposed Charentaise stone walls and French doors opening from the sitting room onto the private patio which has wooden outdoor furniture and a gas barbeque.
The accommodation is arranged over the ground floor. The front door of the gîte leads into the fully fitted kitchen and dining area with a tiled floor, original exposed beams and an antique wooden ceiling.
There is a fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave and cooker. The sitting room has two, two seater sofas.
There is a pair of French Windows that open directly onto the terrace.
Puits is the French word for a well and the old capped well is a feature in the sitting room. The master bedroom has a double bed (140 cm). The wooden beams and exposed Charentaise stone walls give the room a distinctive and pleasant finish.
There is plenty of storage space and a fan and a hairdryer are also provided. The second bedroom has two single beds.

The local area
Located in the Charente-Maritime, part of the larger Poitou-Charente region on the southwest coast of France. The hamlet of La Foye is surrounded by fields of sunflowers, vineyards and forests. It enjoys long hot summers and very mild winters which are so necessary for the production of fine grapes used to make the wonderful wines and Cognac. It is known locally as the 'western Mediterranean' and enjoys the second highest number of sunshine hours in France (after the Côte D’Azur).

we had a very relaxing holiday, comfortable lodging,the Gite has everything it needs, Nick & Chania excellent hosts and knowledgable about the area. The games room was a topper for young and old in the evenings.

We had a lovely stay at this wonderful gîte and property of Nick and Chania. Everything was perfect, gîte was spacious and had everything you needed and more! Prachtige gite bij een zeer gastvrij Engels echtpaar. We hebben volop genoten ook van de gezamenlijke maandagavonden (met de andere gasten paella en of BBQ gebruiken). De tips van Nick en Chania wat te doen in de omgeving waren erg prettig. Kortom, aanrader om hier een periode te verblijven!
