Sautou is perfect for couples in search of privacy, serenity, and comfort deep in the French countryside.
Whimsically decorated using local brocantes and artists, this newly renovated stone guesthouse sports a pool, a totally private terrace area that includes pool furniture, a dining table for meals al fresco, and a Weber charcoal BBQ. The swimming pool abuts a grassed area with woods and hills behind.
Tenants have EXCLUSIVE use of the pool -- privately set at the rear of the cottage. The cottage contains a large sitting room centered around a wood stove with French doors opening onto the pool terrace; a large, fully equipped eat-in kitchen; and a master bedroom with twin or double beds with an en-suite shower room. Large, remotely operated ceiling fans are located in each of the rooms, and a smaller standing fan is available in the bedroom as needed.
There is a walk-in Italian shower, basin, WC, washing machine, and dryer.
Linen is included.

Sautou is located in the heart of the country -- often referred to as "La France Profonde" -- a phrase that denotes the existence of "profoundly" French aspects of provincial towns, French village life, and rural culture. We are located near the Lot River and 15 minutes from Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Bergerac and The Dordogne are about a 45 minute drive north. There is easy access to Bergerac airport which offers travel to and from many destinations including Rotterdam and 12 cities in the UK. Bordeaux and Toulouse airports are approximately a two hour drive.

Karel en Bill zijn geweldige gastheren, de gite is nog mooier dan op de foto's, heel smaakvol ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Net terug van een heerlijke vakantie in Sautou! Prachtige gite, authentiek en smaakvol ingericht. Vooral de vele fraaie schilderijen spraken ons erg aan. Heerlijk verblijf gehad in mooi opgeknapte gite in een prachtige omgeving. Heel fijn privé zwembad zonder enige inkijk. Karel was onvermoeibaar om ons over de mooiste plekken van de Lot en Dordogne streek te vertellen. We komen zeker volgend jaar terug!
