Maison Sarcelle is a split-level villa, facing southwest with views over forested hills and the surrounding Provençal countryside.
The property is a little over one kilometer from the village of Varages. The main part of the house is on a level with the garden and swimming pool, while a few steps lead up to three bedrooms: two double bedrooms, and one twin bedroom.
With tiled floors and colourful shutters, it feels like a traditional Provençal house with all the comforts of a modern building. There is air conditioning in all the bedrooms.
The owner lives in the basement apartment.
It is completely independent with its own garden and entrance.
The main house is not overlooked and the pool is private. A large open-plan living area dominates the ground floor, with doors opening onto the south-west facing front terrace.
This room is comfortably furnished with two sofas and a pair of armchairs surrounding a traditional wood-burning stove. The adjoining dining area opens onto the east terrace, which is a perfect location for breakfast and lunch al fresco.
Both the living and dining rooms connect to the kitchen, which is fully fitted and well equipped. Four steps lead up to a hallway, from which doors open into the three bedrooms.
Each of the bedrooms has its own ensuite shower room with toilet.
The master bedroom, which has a double bed, Faces north east with morning sun and overlooks the garden and olive grove.. The second bedroom faces southwest, and has a pair of single beds.
The third bedroom is south west facing with double aspect windows and overlooks the terrace and garden. Both these bedrooms have en suite shower rooms with a toilette. There is air conditioning in the living room and all the bedrooms have ceiling fans. Split over two terraces, the garden is filled with olive trees and ornamental shrubs, with a flat lawn where children can play. There is also a 'jeu de boule' so you can play boule as and when you like. Sadly the road into Varages is not suitable for pedestrians as there are no pavements or walkways. The secluded nine by four metre swimming pool is surrounded by a terrace with sunbeds.

The village of Varages is less than a kilometre from the house. It is a scenic walk into the village on a D road, and there are not pavements or foot paths. Varages has a reputation for faience, or fine tin-glazed earthenware, dating back to the 17th century, and there is still a factory and many shops selling pottery.
A restaurant in Varages serves excellent local food. The town also has a pizzeria, a baker, a butcher, a pharmacy, a garage, a post office, and a bar/tabac.

Als je op zoek bent naar een oase van rust en schoonheid, dan is dit prachtige huis in de Provence werkelijk een verborgen juweeltje.
Het huis is overcompleet en biedt alles wat je nodig hebt voor een onvergetelijk verblijf. De kamers zijn voorzien van airco, wat uiterst aangenaam is tijdens de war...

Heerlijk huis, zeer volledig ingerichte keuken.
Zwembad heel veel gebruikt, onmisbaar met het warme wer.
Ik zou graag weer terug komen.

Wat een heerlijk huis is dit. Van werkelijk alle gemakken voorzien en alles in aanwezig.
Nu ook alle slaapkamers van airco voorzien zijn is het zeker in de zomer zeer aangenaam om te slapen.
De tuin geeft je veel mogelijkheden om ook in de schaduw te kunnen zitten. Het zwembad geeft de mogelijkheid tot een verfrissende duik. Ruth, de eigenaresse, is heel erg aardig.
