Chateau de la Coutere offers you boutique French style and country living, in the heart of southern rural France.
With its original oak floors and characterful rooms in abundance, you will enjoy everything there is to be expected from a centuries old chateau.
The recent renovations will guarantee you the familiarity and comfort of staying in a home from home environment, whilst finding yourself immersed in a truly secluded setting.
The chateau is discovered at the end of its own private country road, surrounded by 60 hectares of park and woodland on all sides and bordering the River Save with its own waterfalls. Decorated with antique, vintage, and contemporary furniture and art, there is plenty of room for everybody to relax and unwind as the chateau sleeps up to 16 people.
There are six bedrooms, and all are stylishly decorated.
Three bedrooms come with king size beds as standard, the fifth has a super king size bed. The six bedroom can be made as you wish and any bedroom can also have additional single beds added if needed. The six upstairs bedrooms all have ensuite facilities, sharing four full bathrooms between them and the bedroom arrangement is also ideal for families or generations of the same family.
Full linen and towels are provided for each room.
The grand salon and dining room have been designed to accommodate large parties such as several groups of friends or families holidaying together. In the summer, the south of France is all about the great outdoors and as much as you will like the inside of the chateau, you will love the outside even more.
Families love this intimate chateau for its swimming pool and the chateau’s acres of grounds and woodland to explore - there's even tree swings and a trampoline for the young ones or even young at heart! Friends holidaying together also enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, eating alfresco on the terraces, after cooking on the BBQ or in the fully equipped newly fitted kitchen. Don't forget to take a walk to the waterfalls for a swim or to enjoy the nature setting at the edge of the chateau's grounds. Evenings will be filled with enjoying the last of the sun’s rays by the swimming pool, enjoying refreshing drinks under the fairy lights, at the front of the chateau, or listening to nature on the raised terraces in front of the dining room and grand salon. The chateau is spacious, comfortable, and offers a unique setting down its own 1.5 private road. With over 30 acres of park and woodland, extensive outdoor areas to relax and enjoy, a large pool and our own waterfalls, guests gave their holidays at the chateau five star reviews in 2024! If you would like to be completely surrounded by nature, within a unique wildlife eco-system then you will love the setting. However, if you do enjoy nature, but still want the comfort of home from home chateau living on holiday, then our chateau also is definitely for you too!
We are an hour north of Spain, and 55 minutes south of Toulouse, and although the chateau is tucked away in its own private valley, it is just a few minutes by car back to the main road and 7km from the local town with all its amenities.
