Les Nénuphars cottage built in 1889 is situated in the beautiful Dordogne countryside-a tranquil setting perfect for your next holiday.
It has been tastefully refurbished and sleeps four, between two bedrooms with a kitchen lounge/dining room. Relax and enjoy the birdsong each morning while enjoying a dip in your own private pool, that neighbours the cottage.
Then spend the day exploring the surrounding area.
The nearest village Verteillac, hosts a boulangerie ,butcher, bars and restaurants and other shops. Stepping into the cottage you are greeted with a lounge complete with exposed beams and stone walls.
A small but fully equipped kitchen is attached.
From this there are two separate double bedrooms each with private bathroom. One bedroom has a king sized bed and the other has 2 single beds.
Each bedroom has it's own bathroom with a walk in shower. Accessibility to both the cottage and bathrooms is good as there are no steps.. Outside the cottage is a private courtyard with an outdoor kitchen area including a BBQ.. There is covered seating on the terrace. Another terrace is nearby the pool which is private for your use and has a sun deck. We ask our guests not to jump or dive into the pool for their own safety as it is not deep enough for this. Please note that there may be water restrictions this summer, and we ask that there is no excess splashing in the pool as we may not be allowed to refill it if it gets low. Please be considerate of the environment.

Les Nénuphars cottage is situated in the beautiful, peaceful Dordogne countryside, amongst farmland. We are very well situated for some of the best that the area offers.
Aubeterre sur Dronne -a Beaux Village and Brantôme ,Bourdeilles, Mareuil, Villars are within an hours drive.
There are several nearby airports including Bergerac, Limoges, Poitiers and Bordeaux. These are all served by low cost airlines.
The nearest village is Verteillac which is a vibrant village especially in the summer months. The village has shops including the bakery, a butcher , hairdressers restaurants and bars to name some. .There is also a shop that sells everything, from tomatoes and wine to TVs and beds... it has to be seen to be believed..Verteillac is well within walking distance of the cottage. But to enjoy the area fully a car would be required as there is no public transport.
Riberac is the nearest town which has the larger supermarkets, many more shops and you can go canoeing on the Dronne river from there. Riberac is 20 minutes away by car.There is a large market in Riberac on Friday mornings which is well worth a visit.

We had a perfect time at the gite. Thanks for your kind hospitality. The house had everything needed. And it was perfectly restored. I would recommend this house to everybody.

Notre séjour aux Nénuphars n'aurait pas pu mieux se dérouler ! Le gîte est non seulement magnifique mais également parfaitement équipé. Rien ne manque (je précise que nous voyagions avec deux petits enfants et un chien). Debbie et Brian sont des hôtes absolument adorables, cette semaine de vacances fut en tous points parfaite!
