Lampy is our largest French farmhouse gite with three double bedrooms providing self catering accommodation for up to 8 persons.
It has a large ensuite with double bed and two other bedrooms with two single beds.
There is also a fold out bed in one bedroom. As well as the ensuite in the main bedroom there is also a shower room and toilet. The main room in Lampy is an large lounge, kitchen diner with high ceilings. This self catering holiday let has a fully kitted kitchen including oven, microwave and dishwasher and private laundry facilities. We are situated at the base of "La Montagne Noire" and between Castelnaudary and the medieval city of Carcassonne. The estate is located down a tree lined drive and next to a small river called The Lampy. A small forest is accessible for walks, running and hiking next to the estate and you will discover the local vineyards. There alot of very well marked walks (or trail runs if you are keen enough)very close by some at the end of the driveway, and others a short distance away.We have books available to show the routes For cyclists - i don't know where to start. The various stages of the Tour de France which passes close by most years. The hills of the Montagne Noire and towards the Pyreenées - you will need some stamina for that. Of course there are flatter and more gentle countryside roads away from the hills. The other option is a lazy day by the pool with a glass or two of Henri's Rosé.
