This is a very spacious 'gite" ( 250 sq.m) on 2 levels.
It occupies an independent part of our house la Haute Grange - it's completely private with own entrance, car park and garden.
On the ground floor - a big eat-in kitchen with open fireplace with everything you need to prepare your breakfasts and other meals - a selection of quality dishes ( Villeroy & Boch), pots & pans, serving dishes, an induction hob, micro-wave, electric oven as well as a selection of appliances ( mixer, toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine,) . A warm & friendly place to linger over a glass of wine, a cup of tea while you plan your days.
A hallway ( with downstairs loo ) leads through to a large living room - comfy sofas around an open fire then on to a second sitting-room - here you'll find a nice selection of books, magazines, board games as well as a flat screen TV - just the place to spend an evening with the wood-burning stove to keep you warm. . Curl up with a book .......
Upstairs - two double bedrooms each with private bathroom ( walk-in showers and separate toilets)
Comfy large beds with quality bedding ( winter or summer duvets ) and in the bathrooms a good selection of towels, bathrobes, a hairdryer , hand soap and shower gel by Caudalie.
On arrival the beds are made , In season the heating is on ...... drop your bags and relax.
The mature garden and patio area are equipped with garden furniture- - sunbeds, parasols, tables and chairs, - relaxation guaranteed.
A covered terrace provides shelter in bad weather / heatwaves (!) still allowing guests to sit out and enjoy the wonderful views. Set of for a brisk walk or a leisurely stroll from the front gate - we'll provide maps and guides and point you in the direction of one of the many farm house restaurants . In winter, the ski slopes are only 20 minutes away (Lac Blanc, for example). From the house , the Eurovélo 5 cycling path is just a few kilometers away taking you through the vineyards and the picturesque villages of Alsace. For your comfort, our prices include : - beds made and all household linen provided - heating, electricity and water - wood for the fireplaces - private parking - wifi throughout the house - cleaning at the end of your stay. We live on the top floor - completely separate from the gite bur we are always available to help you plan your days or just for a chat ! Nearby in the village of Hachimette we have an excellent local producers' shop where you can shop during your stay. There is a bakery in the village. No time to shop ? We can provide a breakfast basket ( butter, jams, home-made yogurt, fresh juice, hams and cheese ) on request . Let us know in advance. Or why not order a freshly-cooked dinner basket from "Les Saveurs d'Aubure" every evening a different menu - a main course, side salad, fresh bread and a delicious dessert dessert – all homemade using quality local produce.Tried and tested we are happy to recommend Anne-Sophie and Benedicts concept it to our guests staying at the cottages. Set the table, open a good bottle of wine, and get ready to enjoy a delicious meal without having to cook ! Aubure is a ten minute drive from us - Benedict also offers to deliver your basket (for an additional fee). You will find the weekly menu in your cottage upon arrival.
