When she retired, my mother wanted to pursue her desire to travel by welcoming guests to this family home which she redesigned and tastefully decorated. Passionate about painting, the walls are marked with her works evolving over time.
Each of the 4 rooms (Mariane, Joséphine, Manon and Marquise) are in the image of these somewhat revolutionary but also sensual women who have marked the history of France and France (my mother's first name).
I take up the torch of this family home to "continue" this lovely journey with the desire to entrust you with a few little secrets about the treasures of our beautiful region rich in gastronomy, heritage and art of living.
Each bedroom has its own bathroom and private WC.
Adjoining the family home, Le GITE du Refuge du Peintre can accommodate 6 people. Possible privatization of the house on request
Le Refuge du Peintre is located in Sainte-Terre (capital of the lamprey) on the banks of the Dordogne river.
For lovers of "car-free" gastronomy, all you need to do is take a few steps to taste this emblematic fish at the Cabestan farm (in summer).
If you cross the Dordogne bridge, you will find a starred restaurant, "l'Auberge St Jean" which will delight your taste buds while contemplating the reflections of the river.
You can also choose to taste this lamprey or other dishes without moving from the accommodation around the table d'hôtes (on reservation).
Then you can shine on Saint-Émilion (8 km), Bordeaux and the Arcachon basin or stroll through these villages which bear witness to the richness of our architectural and cultural heritage.
If you prefer to visit the region on foot or by bike, you will find the various circuits on the Tourist Office website.
If you are bored, it is because you will have wanted it!

"Inoubliable"
Nous avons passé un séjour bonheur chez Corinne chez qui tout est réuni, accueillante, hospitalière, de bons conseils pour nos visites et excellente cuisinière ! La maison est charmante, calme et la situation idéale. La région est belle à découvrir ! Bisous à Jason et merci aux poules pour leur bons œufs ! À bientôt !

Ce fut un grand plaisir de vous accueillir . Vous avez des hôtes trés facile à vivre , toujours partants pour découvrir la region sous une météo peu propice à la balade Vous faire à manger est un vrai régal car vous goutez à tout sans aucun apriori.
Je pense sérieusement à vous rappeler pour venir remplacer Jason pendant ses congés (rires) . D'autant que , Stéphanie parle presque à l'oreille des poules maintenant ;-)

"Séjour du 8 Mai 2021"
Merci à Corinne pour son accueil chaleureux, sa gentillesse, sa disponibilité et ses conseils pour les visites de cette belle région et de ses caves.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour, les chambres étaient spacieuses, calmes, joliment décorées, les extérieurs fleuris et bien aménagés pour profiter du soleil, le petit déjeuner excellent avec son bon pain frais, ses confitures maison, nous avons partagé avec Corinne de très bons repas chaque soir, et passé de belles soirées en sa compagnie.
