Louis Feron (1848-1929), local politician, horse dealer and art collector, donated to the city of Yvetot in 1929 his collection of works composed of ivory, terra cotta, or even ceramic. In the first room are exhibited over 200 pieces of ivory geographical origins and different times. Major historical figures (Henry II, Marie de Medici, Napoleon first ...), statuettes shrines, objects of daily life (jewelry, boxes, tobacco graters ...) are among others presented. Visitors can also enjoy a range of Chinese and Japanese characters and a collection representing fishermen Pollet (Pollet in the neighborhood of Dieppe). Terracotta, some of which are signed by the famous sculptor Graillon, are colorful characters as fishermen or beggars, but also historical scenes (the Last Supper, Voltaire). The set of tiles has many dishes and plates from Rouen, Lille, Nevers, Moulins or even Saxony.
